What’s
in your pool bag? | Sara Richardson
During the summer, my pool bag is always packed and
ready to go. With our neighborhood pool just down the street, my boys and I go
at least a few times a week. Here is what I never leave home without:
CURRENT
POOL READ: Sailing
Lessons by Hannah McKinnon: I always love a good family
drama, and the setting on the shores of Cape Cod intrigued me. This book seems
to promise a little bit of mystery with a hopeful and redemptive theme.
Sun
Bum Clear Zinc: In Colorado the sun is so
intense! I never leave for the pool without protecting my face with this
fabulous non-greasy sunscreen.
VOBOOM
Reversible Sunhat: This hat is completely
packable/crushable, and you can always reshape it because of the wire brim.
Besides that, it’s rated up to 50 SPF and comes in a variety of fun colors.
Picnic
Blanket: We take up a lot of space at the pool—it’s more
fun to go with friends. So I always bring along our picnic blanket to make sure
everyone gets a seat!
Inflatable
Pool Chair: On the really hot days, I can’t just sit on the
sideline…so I like to sit in the pool. This handy inflatable raft even has a
cup holder. (No one has ever accused me of packing light. J )
Fringed
Beach Towel: This towel is comfy and cute! It also folds up
nice and small, leaving plenty of room for other pool essentials.
