Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love Colleen Hoover and have no clue why it took me so long to pick this one up.
This one starts off very heavy, but really pulled me in right from the start. Triggers for loss and addiction. I love the story of Beyah and Samson, both together and on their own. You really get to see the growth with Beyah and her finally knowing what family really means.
Overall, I loved it.

Lake + Manning by Jessica Hawkins
Lake + Manning by Jessica Hawkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Triggers for infertility
I flew through this whole series and really enjoyed it. I really liked this one as it did a great job pulling everything together and wrapping it up.
I loved the growth of all of the characters. I actually found myself tearing up several times once everyone started to reconcile.
I was not expecting this to take the turn it did once Lake and Manning were married. SPOILER: I have struggled with infertility and was not expecting this to turn to a story involving this happening. It really hit reality when it talks about having everyone around you getting pregnant when you cannot and the feelings/struggle around being sad (for yourself) and happy (for everyone around you). It is really emotional for someone going through it, but I appreciated the realness of the situation. I do wish it all would have ended a little different, but I was expecting what happened based on every book I have read that involves infertility.
Overall, a fun series and I cannot believe it is over. Here is hoping you find a love like Lake and Manning.

Say Yes by Kandi Steiner
Say Yes by Kandi Steiner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5 Stars
I was sent this book from the publisher/publicity team. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.
I was over the moon when Kandi sent me the audiobook for Say Yes. It is no secret that she is one of my favorite authors and a must read/buy for me. I was excited to jump into this one.
I am little torn on my rating on this one. The beginning of this one moved a little too fast for me. I never really connected with their love story or bought into their connection. Both were struggling with different things in their lives, but I do not think we really got to see the actual connection between the two. I wanted more to believe the intensity between the two.
The second half is where this really caught my attention. The heartbreaking parts are were Kandi always shines. She can really pull out emotions in her stories. This one was not cry my eyes out by any means though. It did not really get too deep.
Overall, this was still pretty good, just not my favorite. Everything just moved way too quickly and I wanted more

Move the Stars by Jessica Hawkins
Move the Stars by Jessica Hawkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
More around a 3.5/3.75
I am flying through these audiobooks. This book is also told over several years. There is a lot that happens as it has been 8 years at one point from the wedding.
This one focused much more on Lake and Manning. It is also much steamier than the other books. I still want to see a little more connection between Manning and Lake and not just the attraction between the two. We get a glimpse into this more so towards the end of this book where we start to really see a connection and not just sexual tension.
I am curious to see how this will all wrap up in the end. On to the last book.

Somebody Else's Sky by Jessica Hawkins
Somebody Else's Sky by Jessica Hawkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I am flying through these audiobooks. I really enjoyed book one and was excited to jump into book two. This one focused much more on Tiffany and Manning. Lake finally turns 18 at the end of this book, so I am hoping for more of Lake and Manning in the next book.
Tiffany was still unlikable in this one and I wanted her to go away! I was actually mad at Manning for taking things so far with her. I do not like her, but I also feel bad that he continues to move things along with her knowing his feelings for her sister.
This was pretty predictable on what happened in the end, but I still enjoyed it. On to the next…

Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins
Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have had this audiobook sitting on my library for a few years. I decided to finally give it a go. When I first started this, I was not loving it. Lake was so immature for her age. She acted less younger than 16 years old and was very oblivious to everyday life. However; I am so glad I pushed through those first moments, as I ended up flying through this in one sitting.
I ended up really loving the story between Lake and Manning. Be mindful this is an age gap romance that does involving a 16 year old and a 23 year old. This did take a turn towards the end that I was not expecting. It kind of came out of nowhere and made the whole story have a different tone. It is not what you would think either.
This ends with a cliff hanger and I need to jump into book two ASAP.

Truths I Never Told You by Kelly Rimmer
Truths I Never Told You by Kelly Rimmer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love Kelly Rimmer and the emotion she brings to all of her stories. This was no exception. This does deal with some heavy topics so be mindful of that before jumping into this one.
This one broke my heart. It is told in two perspectives and two different time periods. I actually enjoyed both connected stories. I was emotionally connected to both and each brought tears for their own reasons.
I do feel this dragged a little too long at times. However; I still really enjoyed it.
