Wait for You by J. Lynn

Wait for You (Wait for You, #1)Wait for You by J. Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been collecting this series forever, and just never grabbed for it. I am not sure why as I love JLA! I decided to start and now I am not sure if I can stop! I absolutely loved this!

I just love Cam! He says he is not a good guy, but that is all he is too Avery. I absolutely loved him and I loved the relationship between the two. I loved how even though they meet within the first few pages, their relationship was still slow to develop. It was not too insta-lovey.

This does have triggers for rape and self-harming behaviors.

I do not know what else to say but that I need the second book now!

Losing the Field by Abbi Glines

Losing the Field (The Field Party, #4)Losing the Field by Abbi Glines

I am not too critical of books for the most part, but this one was just not for me. Being plus sized, this was making me so mad (and I am not usually sensitive). Do not get me wrong! There are tons of stories following a fat character who is not noticed for their beauty until they lose weight. Yes, it is problamatic but it never bothered me. But this was on a differnet level. When our main character was fat, she was not only ugly, but a loner. She was not noticed and did not have any friends. I just could not deal with so much negativity around someone being plus size. This was a DNF for me.

Dead Ringers by Wayne A.D. Kerr

Dead Ringers (Black Swann Investigations #1)Dead Ringers by Wayne A.D. Kerr
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was sent this book to review. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.

This started off with a bang. The writing and plot were addicting and I could not put it down. This does deal with a an ex-detective being in jail for a crime she did not commit. The drama while she was in jail was intense, and I was hooked. Then the story switched perspectives and I was still loving the story. However; as soon as Reggie gets released from jail the story did slow down or me a little bit. I had a hard time wanting to reach for this after that point, but I really wanted to know what happened.

This does switch perspectives and I wish chapters would have been names the character names. You had to wait a few sentences sometimes to even know who you were reading about. It was not hard to follow, but this would be a nice addition.

Overall, great start and finish. I was able to predict the killer but it was still a great read.

Score (San Francisco Thunder #1)Score by Victoria Denault
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love a good sports romance, and so when I saw this was a hockey romance I knew I needed it. I loved that this is a second chance romance as Jude and Zoey knew each other when they were in school. Years later they reconnect and the fire is still there. This did have a typical plot and did not really throw anything extra in to make it stand out. However; I still did enjoy it for what it was. It is very steamy (a little too much steam for my liking), but I am not holding that against the story as I expected that going in.

Overall, this was ok.
