I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review. Let's start off talking about the cover. This is so haunting, and honestly I was not sure if this would be for me as I normally like cute contemporary romances. I still wanted to give this a try. I am glad I picked it up. I read it in one sitting.
This is a very deep and intense read. It starts off with a women paying off debts of her husband with men. It also gives you a glimpse into the past of her husband which involved Foster Care. This will cause you to have all sorts of emotions, and they will start from chapter one. This does deal with some deep issues including an abusive marriage, the fear of abonnement, and sexual abuse.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. The writing was ok, but I enjoyed the plot and the characters.
