Dollar Tree....WHAT?!?!?

I love a good bargain!  Every once in a while the local Dollar tree will have some hidden treasures in their makeup section.   Most of the time you will come across L.A Colors, but you can also find Milani, Physicians Formula, and Revlon.  I love going and scoping out these awesome products.  Tonight I hit the jackpot with some lip products and some eye shadows.  Here is what I picked up this time around and all for only $7!

Physicians Formula Fashionista Smokey Eye Shimmer Strips (Price: $10)
I was very excited when I found this small eye palate.  Physicians Formula is a higher priced drug store makeup (or at least for me).   These were a little less pigmented than I would have liked, but still totally worth $1.
The shimmer is very subtle, so it was not too much.  I do not like a lot of glitter and sparkles in my makeup.  The colors are a greenish and grayish hue.

Physicians Formula Baked Eye Shadow Set (Price: $8)
I LOVE this set.  The colors appear brown in the set, but they actually blend together to give off a purplish/pink color.  They are pigmented and very pretty.  I found they go on a little darker if you wet your brush just a little as well.  I love the versatility of being able to do so many different looks with only three different colors.

Now on to the lips J

Auqafina Hydrating Lip Balm
I use a lot of lip balms.  Well actually, lip balms are like socks.  I am always misplacing or losing them, so I like having them everywhere so I can just pick one up when I need one.  Haha!

This hydrating balm has Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, and Vitamin E.  It does have a very light peppermint smell, and it is a little plastic smelling.  The product did not seem secure in the packaging (although the packaging is very cute), and I actually scrapped some on my teeth when I first applied it (YUCK!).  However; it was very moisturizing.  I did not find myself needing to reapply as often as I do some other lip balms.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling Cherie (010) (Price: $7)
I like to stick to natural colors for the most part, unless I am feeling daring.  This was a perfect soft pink.  The formula is very smooth, and it glides onto your lips with ease.  It also has a peppermint smell, which is a little stronger than the Auqufina lip balm.

Revlon Color Burst in Cherry Tart (070) (Price: $6)
Did you see where I mentioned being daring, well this is more of a color I am not used too, but I could not pass it up.   This is a very bold red when you first look at it, but it blends out nicely.  I like to just dab a little of this on my lips instead of applying too much at one time.  This is more of my own preference until I get used to wearing more bold colors on my lips.  Go ahead and Red it out though!

L.A Color Lipgloss and Lipstick Duo in Twinkle (BLC 822) and Natural (BLC 821)
I also did pick up two L.A Color Lip gloss and Lipstick Duo as I thought they were very nice colors and I could not pass them up.  I really love both of the lip stick colors.  I am not a fan of gloss and this is a little sticky, but I have the option of using the gloss or not.  Love them!

Dollar Tree can be hit or miss, but definitely check them out!  You never know what you can find!  What do you think?  Are you thinking about making a dollar store run now?
