The Things We Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros

The Things We Leave UnfinishedThe Things We Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was sent this book from the publisher/publicity team. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.

Rebecca Yarros is one of my all time favorite authors and I will read anything she puts out. I was really excited for this one.

I am not sure why, but I just had a really hard time getting into this one. This is really two love stories in one. I found myself liking the sections more about the current romance with Noah and Georgia. I found the flashback scenes hard to stay interested in for some reason until more towards the end of the story. I think it was almost too much disconnecting the two stories even though you know why they are connected (if you read this, hopefully it will make sense).

I do feel this picked up towards the second half and the end. Where I was having a hard time picking this up at first, the second half I did not want to put down.

Overall, this was still enjoyable but I did expect a little more.

Make Me Hate You by Kandi Steiner

Make Me Hate YouMake Me Hate You by Kandi Steiner
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love Kandi and can easily say she is one of my favorite authors. Sadly, this one just did not stand out to me. It was great but just pretty standard when it comes to long gap romances.

I was annoyed that after seven years there was jealously around having other significant lovers and also that it felt they both moved on. They should, it was seven years. I heard this one was heart breaking, but I did not get that at all. Our main character does have a sad past as a child, but there really are not enough details to make it super emotional.

Again, I enjoyed this for what it was but it was not a stand out for me.

Close Quarters: A Billionaire Romance by Kandi Steiner

Close Quarters: A Billionaire RomanceClose Quarters: A Billionaire Romance by Kandi Steiner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

I love KS, but I was a little hesitant around this one. I am just not normally a huge fan of billionaire romances. However; I am learning to never doubt Kandi.

If you are a fan of shows like Below Deck, you are going to love this one. It really gives off those feels from the start. I was not a huge watcher of those shows and immediately looked them up after reading this. I just needed more in some shape or form after reading this.

I loved the romance and the building of the romance between Aspen and Theo. I could not put this down. I loved it.

Hazed by Kandi Steiner

Hazed (Palm South University, #6)Hazed by Kandi Steiner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yes! I am a huge Palm South fan, but I have to be honest and say I did not love the last two books. I just did not feel there was that much movement in them. I was still excited for Hazed as I love the characters. Well, it did not disappoint!

We had so much character movement and growth this time. We got to see so much more of each character. I personally did not love every other page seeming like it had a sex scene in the last book. This one had just the right amount. It was much more plot driven which I loved!

I am obsessed with each character and where the story is taking them! I am not ready for all of this to end! Counting down the days until the final book is released.

The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah

The Four WindsThe Four Winds by Kristin Hannah
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Kristin Hannah is one of my favorite authors. I was really excited for this one.

I normally read my books in about a day or two. This one took me weeks. It was just too slow moving and I found myself forcing myself to pick this up to finish. It was just too slow and too repetitive. It started off really good, but then it just slowed down way to much. Yes, things were happening but it would dragged out into several chapters. I needed a faster pace.

Sadly, I ended up skimming to the end on this one.

Obsession by Patricia Bradley

Obsession (Natchez Trace Park Rangers, #2)Obsession by Patricia Bradley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was sent this book from the publisher/publicity team. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.

I am a huge fan of Patricia Bradley so I was excited to get a copy of Obsession. This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I did not read book one, but plan to go back to it since I enjoyed this one so much.
The author just does romantic suspense so well. This is a Christian romance, but do not let that turn you off from picking this up. This is a fast paced story that you will love.

I really enjoyed both the plot and the characters in this one. I cannot wait to see where the next book will go in the series. This may be my new favorite from her.
