October 2016 Monthly Wrap Up PART 2

What a great reading month...Check out PART 2 of my October Wrap Up...

October 2016 Reading Stats: I read 9 books this month

Goodreads Rating System:
5 Star-It was Amazing
4 Star-Really Liked It
3 Star-Liked It
2 Star-It was Ok
1 Star-Did not like It

My Rating: 3.75 Stars
Format: Paperback

My Thoughts:
I give this 3.75 stars. It was much better than I thought it would be. In the beginning, there were times I wanted to stop reading. But, every chapter seemed to have something leaving you hanging wiling you to read on. It was a very quick read.

The plot twist was good and I was not expecting it at all. I think it could have been more developed, but it seems like it will be in the next books.

The romance triangle was ok. It was definitely cheesy and for younger viewers, which is fine.

I do think this leaves you wanting more! More about the plot and more about the characters. Overall, it was pretty good and I enjoyed it.

My Rating: 4.5 Stars
Format: Kindle

My Thoughts:
** spoiler alert ** I was sent this ARC from NetGalley. I give this a 4.5 stars!

I have picked up and DNF probably over ten books over the last few weeks and I thought this was going to be the same thing. However; this had my interest at the end of chapter one. Every chapter left me wanting more and I was sucked in. I did not even want to go to work today so I could finish this (I had to go though).

I do not normally like books that switch between the past and present, but this is the exception. Every chapter left me wanting to know what was going to happen and trying to guess what I thought was going on. However; I will say that about 50% in, I was over the some of the flashbacks as they were not needed and were boring. They took away from the feeling of suspense that everything else had you feeling in the put of your stomach. This is the main reason I am taking off ½ a star.

I also loved how well this book really makes you have a love/hate relationship with Finn. I loved the Finn when he was described in the past chapters, but I hated the Finn in the present. It was almost like he was two different people, but I still loved every minute of it. This was a very intense PTSD story. I was not sure how I felt about the ending, but after thinking it through I actually was routing for the couple to be together which I never thought I would do.

I think some of the twists and turns were predictable and others not all! I still enjoyed them regardless if I knew they were coming. I really liked the writing style and look forward to reading more from this author.

My Rating: 3 Stars
Format: Kindle

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book up until the last few chapters. It was really entertaining for the most part, and I wanted to keep reading to find out what really happened.

I actually really enjoyed that there were so many different ideas on what could have happened. The problem with this book is the ending. It just ends! With no real explanation. Some of the theories do not even get closure, how some the events unfolded had no closure, and you just have to guess what you think happened. It was like there was so much during 80% of this book, and then they just decided they were over it and ended it. I just did not like the ending. The book could have summed up some of the information in an epilogue.

Overall, I did like this and did rate it 3 stars

My Rating: 2 Stars
Format: Kindle

My Thoughts:
I really thought this was going to be an amazing book, and I was going to fly through it. I even recommended it to a friend thinking it was going to be a 4 or 5 star read. However; in the end I am only giving this 2 stars as it was only ok.

The first 3/4 of this book was so good. It was so suspenseful and I could not put it down. I wanted to know what happened to Cassie. I was sucked in and I had that feeling when you are scared with anticipation about what was going to happen next. Then they get close to finding her and the book took a turn.

I hated the rest of the book. The tone was different, the plot was not exciting to me, and I just was disappointed. Why would someone trust anyone in this situation and take what they say at face value? It was all just so strange and I wish this took a whole different take on what happened.

The end does leave you questioning what happens, but I do not think the plot left me wanting to pick up the next book once it comes out.

Let me know what you are reading down below as I am always looking for new recommendations.
