Make Up by Michelle Phan Book Review

Have you been wanting to check out this book?  Is it worth it?  Check it out here...

What is it?
Make Up by Michelle Phan

What it costs?
You can purchase this book on Amazon, for $10.99 (Kindle Version) $13.80 (Hard Cover).

Let me start off by saying, I LOVE MAKEUP! Really, I do. So, I was very excited to get the Makeup book by Michelle Phan.

Per Amazon:
"Now, Michelle has compiled all of her best wisdom into Make Up: Your Life Guide to Beauty, Style, and Success--Online and Off. From creating a gorgeous smoky eye to understanding contouring to developing an online persona, Michelle has advice to help you transform every facet of your life. Make Up is packed with Michelle’s trademark beauty and style tutorials, stories and pictures from her own life, and advice on the topics she is asked about most, including etiquette, career, entrepreneurship, and creativity. From the everyday (such as how to get glowing skin) to the big picture (such as how to turn your passion into a profession), Make Up is a practical and empowering resource to help anyone put their best face forward."

The first thing I noticed when I opened this was the quality. This is a very nice hard cover book and very nice looking. It is a book you can display and keep out (I have it on my makeup stand)."

This book starts off with an introduction on who Michelle Phan is and her own personal journey with makeup and life. I really like how she was willing to be a little personal with readers instead of just diving in to beauty tips.  You learn about her childhood and the struggles she faced with her family.

This book also shows how Michelle started gaining opportunities and how some ideas such as Ipsy were developed.  I love Ipsy.

In Make Up you will find information about skin care, hair, nails, and makeup. I only recently started to get into makeup and love learning new ways to ensure I am applying different things correctly. I like the information provided on this.  I do feel this book would benefit new makeup and beauty users.  It focuses on more basic beauty concepts.  However; it is a great read for any beauty lover.

Thumbs Up:
Love the hardcover book
Great tips
Covers all beauty areas

Thumbs Down:
Some areas were very vague and really did not give me what I was expecting as far as information
